AC Milan encounter problem in transfer of €20m Man Utd target

Jean-Clair Todibo TEAMtalk

Serie A giants AC Milan are reportedly facing a stumbling block in their pursuit of LaLiga outfit Barcelona’s young centre-back Jean Clair Todibo.

Mundo Deportivo via Calciomercato report that Milan are very keen on the 19-year-old centre-back, but Barca are not willing to let the defender leave without adding a buyback clause.

Milan, like Manchester United are not reported to be keen on including the clause and any deal is currently up in the air.

Last week a report claimed that United were pondering making a move for Todibo at Barcelona.

Last Friday’s Sport via Sport Witness claimed Todibo had a number of offers on the table, but United had “entered very strong” for the defender.

The report claimed United representatives travelled to Catalonia to hold talks with the LaLiga champions over a move for the France U20 player.

Todibo has struggled for minutes since agreeing to join Barcelona in January from Toulouse as a free agent. Todibo only officially joined Barca on July 1 and he has struggled to get game time with just three appearances this season.

But United, who were prepared to pay around €20m for the centre-back, were also not keen on a buyback clause, although they are open to selling Todibo next month.
