Leicester City striker Patson Daka is set to join Bournemouth on loan with an option to buy included in the deal, according to reports.

Andoni Iraola has been looking to bring in a new striker since his arrival at the Vitality Stadium and it seems the manager has finally got his wish.

Daka is a player who has been linked with several Premier League clubs recently. He hasn’t made a single appearance for Leicester this season.

It now seems that Bournemouth have won the race for his signature, which will come as a boost for Iraola.

According to the Athleticthe Cherries have agreed a deal to take Daka on a season-long loan, with an option to buy included in the deal. It isn’t clear at this stage how much the buy clause will be.

Daka joined Leicester from Red Bull Salzburg in 2021 and has scored nine goals in 53 league games for the English side. He will hope for more conistent playing time and more goals with Bournemouth this season.

The Athletic add that Kieffer Moore will be allowed to leave Bournemouth as a consequence of them signing Daka. Several Championship clubs are thought to be interested in him.

Whether or not Daka will be utilised ahead of Dominic Solanke by Iraola remains to be seen, but if he can find his shooting boots, he could prove to be a valuable addition for the south coast club.
