Critical and final Liverpool talks over sensational Mo Salah sale held TODAY as super agent reveals ‘very disturbing’ offer
Mohamed Salah of Liverpool is attracting strong attention from Al-Ittihad
Liverpool WILL hold crucial talks over the sale of Mohamed Salah to Al-Ittihad on Thursday according to a source, as officials from the Saudi Arabia club officially present the Merseysiders with what has been deemed a ‘very disturbing’ offer.
The Egyptian superstar is the biggest football name in Arabic football and bringing the 31-year-old to the Saudi Pro-League would be their biggest coup yet. As a result, Al-Ittihad are prepared to stop at nothing to persuade Liverpool into the sale of Salah.
To that end, the Saudi side have raised their offer from an initial £60m for Salah to an eye-watering and official £150m bid, which was rejected by Liverpool last week.
However, while the Reds have so far held firm, the rumours of a move to the Gulf State for Salah are not going away.
To that end, there have been suggestions, emanating in Saudi Arabia, unsurprisingly, that Salah has already said yes to the move and is ‘already on a plane to Jeddah’.
Given they want to pay Salah world-record wages of £2.4m a year, plus additional benefits, including national sponsorships and a win bonus, few would forgive Salah at being tempted by the move.
And now, with a new offer worth an astronimical £215m being prepped, Jamie Carragher has warned Liverpool it is an offer they will now have to accept.
Jurgen Klopp, however, is adamant. He insists Liverpool have no intention of accepting cash for a player that would effectively prove useless to his club at this stage of the season. With the window now closed, the Merseysiders would be losing their best and most important player with zero chance of replacing him until the January window opens in 116 days.

Al-Ittihad officials present final offer to Liverpool for Mo Salah
Now according to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, talks over the sale of Salah are set to reach a critical and final point on Thursday – the day the transfer window closes in Saudi Arabia.
Speaking last night, Galetti stated: “The final meeting between Al-Ittihad and Liverpool for Salah will take place tomorrow [Thursday] morning.
“A big effort for the delegation that will be represented by two members of the club, two members of the PIF, one member of the Tourism Authority. More details soon.”
With mystery surrounding whether Liverpool will actually entertain talks, Jon Smith – the man branded the world’s first super-agent – has speculated how he sees the saga ending.
And unfortunately for the Reds, he can see the ‘very disturbing’ offer leaving Liverpool with little choice.
“I think Salah will go which is very disturbing for Liverpool,” he told Caught Offside. “At his age, money has to be the the deciding factor I’m guessing, and it’s a pretty educated guess though I might be wrong. My guess is that he will go because Saudi could write a cheque for £200m easily.
“Where else are Liverpool going to get that sort of money and where else is Salah, heading towards the end of his career, going to earn, potentially, £95m a year?”
Klopp would be distraught by Salah sale
The impact on Liverpool would be astronomical if their best and most important player were to leave. It’s not just the 188 goals in 308 games he has smashed in since his bargain £36.9m arrival from Roma in 2017 they would miss, his all-round play and ability is crucial to the way they play.
Furthermore, the sale would likely seriously upset Klopp, too, who has made it clear exactly why Liverpool cannot entertain his sale.
In the meantime, the Reds boss has batted off dozens of questions over the potential sale.
Speaking most recently after Sunday’s win over Aston Villa, Klopp stated: “Nobody came to me and told me something could happen or whatever. I’m pretty sure I would have got a call but I didn’t.
“And Mo didn’t look for a second like he thought about anything else other than about Aston Villa.
“He has unbelievable numbers but it’s not a surprise that he has the numbers.
“And he had chances on top of that, and involved in creating and setting up and all these kind of things. He’s a world-class player, no doubt about that. I’m really pleased he is in my team.”
Now, with D-day arriving, Klopp will finally learn if his side will hold firm or cave in to the Saudi millions.
