Che Adams is wanted by Bournemouth Everton and Wolves
Southampton have rejected a bid from Bournemouth for striker Che Adams, TEAMtalk understands.
Adams is a target for a number of Premier League clubs this summer, following Southampton’s relegation to the Championship.
The likes of Wolves and Everton have been credited with an interest in Adams but we can reveal it is Bournemouth who have firmed up their interest with an offer.
Saints, however, who have shown their tough negotiation skills this summer in Liverpool’s ongoing efforts to sign Romeo Lavia, have turned down their south coast rivals’ opening offer for the Scotland international. Indeed, Saints director of football Jason Wilcox is determined to hold out for as big a fee as possible for Adams.
The 27-year-old striker is entering the final year of his contract at St Mary’s and his suitors are hoping to land the forward for a bargain fee.
Southampton are aware of the growing interest in Adams and we can reveal they are open to selling him for the right price before the close of the transfer window.
Adams scored 10 goals and provided three assists in 35 games across all competitions last season.
Bournemouth are keen to bolster their forward options as they look to build on securing survival last season and it remains to be seen if they will come back with an improved offer for Adams.
