Man Utd ‘reject’ offer for expensive flop Ten Hag wants out; Red Devils will only accept £45m

Manchester United have ‘rejected’ a loan offer for Jadon Sancho from his former club Borussia Dortmund, according to reports.
The Red Devils signed the England international for £73m back in 2021 but he has never really replicated the form he showed in the Bundesliga.
As a result, Sancho is one of several players Erik ten Hag is willing to sell this summer.
Since joining Man Utd, the winger has made 79 appearances across all competitions. In the process, he has scored 12 goals and made six assists.
This is in stark contrast to at Borussia Dortmund, where Sancho was considered to be one of Europe’s most exciting young attackers.
But now, as previously reported by TEAMtalk, Man Utd are happy to offload Sancho and Harry Maguire as they look to generate funds for their own transfer business.
It is believed that they are willing to accept a bid of around £45m. Tottenham are one team linked with Sancho, but, a concrete offer is yet to materialise, as yet.
However, what seems certain is that Man Utd will not allow Sancho to leave on a temporary basis.
Dortmund see Sancho loan offer rejected
According to the Daily Star, Man Utd have turned down a loan offer from Dortmund for Sancho.
Now, it remains to be seen whether anyone is willing to pay the £45m required to bring in the Englishman.
After the arrival of Ten Hag, Sancho has seen his minutes gradually reduce at Old Trafford. Last term, he made just 26 appearances in the Premier League.
In fact, he even spent a period training away from the Man Utd squad after the World Cup, due to him having a lack of match fitness.
This is despite Sancho initially expressing that he liked Ten Hag approach to training.
“I would [Ten Hag gives you] say more information, a clearer plan and what to do, especially in some areas of the pitch,” Sancho said.
“We’re training more together and as you saw from pre-season, we’re playing well together. We’re playing in the style which the manager wants. Everyone is loving it at the moment.
“The style of play in training is what we’re working on. Some of that you see, some of it is the intelligence of our players, creating and knowing each other well.”
Nevertheless, if someone makes a good offer for Sancho this summer, it looks likely he will leave Man Utd. What’s certain, though, is that he won’t be joining Dortmund on loan.
